1.1.2 Jailbreak Software Released
http://www.tuaw.com/2007/11/11/1-1-2-jailbreak-software-rele...
Submitted by Anonymous 9 months, 2 weeks, 4 days, 3 hours ago
Conceited Software/TouchFree has just released its GUI jailbreak. This is the "final bit" that performs the jailbreak after you run OktoPrep in 1.1.1 and then upgrade to 1.1.2. The Software runs under OS X and Windows, grabs the data off your iPod touch or iPhone, upgrades it with the Jailbreak, installs Installer.app and SSH.app, and reloads it back to your unit. The whole procedure takes about 10 minutes and after, you have a fully updated 1.1.2 jailbroken system. Join discussion...

The iPhone Dev Team just released AnySIM 1.1, the free utility that unlocks iPhones from the not-so-sexy handcuffs of AT&T. The updated version works on firmware version 1.1.1, but doesn't fix baseband problems caused by updating an unlocked 1.0.2 phone up to 1.1.1 Join discussion...

The Great iPhone Hack, round 3

Two weeks to the day after Apple's iPhone software update wiped third-party applications from the device and disabled unlocked phones, the hackers have struck back. The Unofficial Apple Weblog posted details of the iPhone Dev Team's latest effort, which once again opens the iPhone up to third-party applications and the ability to use it on any other GSM network than AT&T's. This appears to be a more substantial effort than the one posted earlier in the evening that exploits a vulnerability in a TIFF image file; you can bet that one will be patched fairly quickly. iPhone 1.1.1 File System Accessed, Hacks on the Horizon
http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/iphone/iphone-111-file-system-acc...
Submitted by Anonymous 10 months, 3 weeks, 6 days, 9 hours ago
Good news! The iPhone 1.1.1 file system has been broken open as a result of two iPhone hackers inserting symbolic links into the file system of a 1.0.2 iPhone before updating. And with file system access, it means we're one step closer to activating, then jailbreaking, and then enabling third-party applications. Erica at TUAW is liveblogging her progress, and we'll update this post with more info as it comes in. TUAW] Join discussion...
